Dialogue Café Rio de Janeiro is organising in partnership with the CESAP | Centre for Applied Social Studies of the Candido Mendes University of Rio de Janeiro a Session of exchange between booktubers from Brazil and Portugal.

“Dialogue and conciliation between tradition and design means innovation?” 0 Reply

In the framework of the cycle Global Exchange of Crafts Makers, a second global conversation on “Dialogue and conciliation between tradition and design means innovation?” will be held next 28 July at 17h (London time) between Dialogue Café Lisbon and Dialogue Cafe Rio de Janeiro.

During this session, participants will debate the borders established between tradition and modernity and how artisans can dialogue between both by playing with design in order to reach innovation and provide an added value to their crafted goods.

Boas Práticas no âmbito da intervenção com jovens NEET 0 Reply

No âmbito do trabalho colaborativo associado à constituição da PLATAFORMA NEET – ABC (Ações de Baixo para Cima), vão ser organizadas umas jornadas internacionais nos dias 23, 24 e 25 de Maio 2016, que inclui ações em torno a temas relacionados com o trabalho com jovens em situação NEEF para estabelecer pontos de partida sólidos e consistentes para os 5 domínios de atuação: comunidade de prática, rede institucional, auditoria participativa dos serviços de apoio aos jovens, participação e auto-organização dos jovens assim que centro de recursos e plataforma electrónica.

Com estas jornadas internacionais pretende-se, duma parte, melhorar a capacidade de intervenção dos operadores que trabalham com jovens em situação NEET; por outra parte, impulsionar iniciativas de base local e de auto-organização dos próprios jovens, assim que consolidar a Plataforma NEET-ABC para reforçar a cooperação, o trabalho em rede, a inovação e as iniciativas de cidadania ativa.

Sessão Partilha de Boas Práticas no âmbito da intervenção com jovens NEET

No âmbito das atividades previstas em termos de visitas a experiências e jornadas de portas abertas dirigidas a grupos interessados em debater de forma organizada sobre oportunidades concretas, a Associação do Dialogue Café em cooperação com os Dialogues Cafés de Évora, Lisboa e Rio de Janeiro, vai organizar uma troca de experiências e boas práticas no âmbito de intervenção com jovens em situação NEET. Neste sentido organizações sociais e de jovens, autoridades e outros operadores trabalhando com jovens em situação NEET serão convidados a partilhar as suas iniciativas locais, regionais e nacionais, e melhores práticas em vista a reforçar a partilha de conhecimento e oferecer oportunidades de trabalho em rede no âmbito internacional.

Programa

Durante o debate, pretende-se que jovens em situação NEET, membros de associações auto-organizadas, partilhem os seus testemunhos e os desafios que confrontam diariamente em termos de procura de emprego e acesso a formação assim que discriminação e exclusão social.

Esta sessão vai nos permitir debater sobre questões relativas a prevenção desta situação, os recursos que devem ser mobilizados nos territórios e nas comunidades locais, assim que à quais são as condições e os mecanismos que devem ser criados para criar oportunidades e soluções prioritárias para os jovens tendo assim uma real capacidade de influenciar as suas vidas de maneira positiva.

Human Rights in XXI Century – Human Rights of Refugees 0 Reply

In the framework of the International Conference on “Human Rights in the challenging 21st century: Globalizing Dignity”, (09 – 10 May) which has been curated by Mr. Viriato Soromenho-Marques and organized by the Gulbenkian Foundation, the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights and the Embassies of Austria and the United States America; Dialogue Café Association will organise a side event on Human Rights in XXI Century – Human Rights of Refugees on 09 May 2016 from 15h to 16h30 (London time).

The aim of this global conversation is to discuss issues relating to Human Rights in a complex world, where vulnerable groups as Refugees and Migrants communities are facing challenges on their daily life and not respected as human beings.

What kind of change can we promote in order to fight against discrimination? What about if we were able to provide them with access to their rights as well as better opportunities for a peaceful life? How young generations can overcome the challenge of discrimination, ensure their access to human rights, and become contributors to the promotion of the inclusion of these communities?

Venues: Dialogue Café Lisbon (Room 3 – Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation), Dialogue Café Florence (Robert F Kennedy Human Rights Italy) and Dialogue Café Rio de Janeiro (University Cándido Mendes – UCAM)

Call for Expression of Interest: Training on Diversity, creativity and innovation with the enterprise 0 Reply

We are now looking to schedule further trainings for 2016 on diversity, creativity and innovation within the enterpriseyouth transforming conflict; peacebuilding and intercultural dialogue; social entrepreneurship and changemaking to ensure that the members of our network have access to non-formal and informal trainings in order to promote social innovation and intercultural dialogue in our societies, main objective of Dialogue Café network.In this framework, in May 2016, Dialogue Café Association will organise a training programme on “Diversity, creativity and innovation within the enterprise” for young adults/students interested in decision making, management and business.This training is part of the Entreprise pilar of Dialogue Café programme.

We wish to ensure that training sessions are organised according to demand and interest. If you or representatives from your organisation/company would consider attending this training, contact the Dialogue Café Associatio by 10 May 2016, for more detailed information and registration.

Registration is required and participants should participate in all programme consisting in 5 sessions to receive a certificate of participation. The sessions will be scheduled as soon as a minimum of 5 participants is confirmed in each participating Dialogue Café (Evora, Lisbon, Novi Pazar, Rio de Janeiro).
