Cultural Heritage: from research to market 0 Reply

cultural heritage from research to market

For UNESCO, the term cultural heritage encompasses several main categories of heritage: tangible (movable, immovable and underwater), intangible (oral traditions, performing arts, rituals) and natural (natural sites with cultural aspects such as cultural landscapes, physical, biological or geological formations) as well as heritage in the event of armed conflict.

Culture has the power to transform societies and through its diverse manifestations our lives are enriched. In this sense, cultural heritage is a source of identity and cohesion for communities, social change and economic stability. Creative and cultural heritage contribute to develop open, inclusive and pluralistic societies. Cultural heritage is also a source of knowledge.

Dialogue Café Evora | FEA proposes to organise a session on cultural heritage to share knowledge and professional experience in the field of cultural heritage (real estate, mobile and immaterial) with the objective of reflecting on the transfer of knowledge produced from research to the areas of conservation, promotion and innovative transformation of heritage taking into account its sustainability and the sustainability of the community to which it refers.

The session will take place on 18 April 2019 from 15h to 17h London time and will bring together experts, authorities, civil society and academia representatives to discuss and share concrete knowledge.
