April was an special month for Dialogue Cafe Network.

Session on Integration of Minorities, 27 April 2’15

April was an important month for Dialogue Cafe Network because DC Novi Pazar (Serbia) and DC Évora (Portugal) joined us and strengthened our global dimension.

Dialogue Cafe has now more than 2000 friends on facebook, a very important achievement for our network. We are very grateful for this support.

The cycle of sessions on changing journalism, changing societies was lauched and we talked about journalism and censorship nowadays (24 April), an important issue if we take into account the findings of the last world press freedom index published by Reporters Without Borders.

Dialogue Cafe also shared initiatives on how to better integrate minorities, in particular the roma community and improve community cohesion (27 April), a common challenge our societies face around the world.

Moreover, in partnersip with the Association Sorrir (Portugal) we smiled and talked about happiness to celebrate the International Day of Smile (28 April). A follow-up training will be developed during the second semester in order to organise a DC Smile Dance.
