Fabulous session between Lisbon and Amsterdam, ‘broadcasted’ directly from the Fablab, where experts gave their vision and shared their experience as young entrepreneurs creating new prototypes for multiple purposes inside their fablab. Some prothesis for disabled or handicaped people living in african countries were made here with incredible low costs.

The power of joy: people who cares about immigrants 0 Reply

Another successful DC session yesterday: groups with projects in vulnerable communities met through DC to discuss better ways to improve education and security between neighbors. In Paris, elements from the SUCCESS project. In Lisbon elements from the Ubuntu Academy (but not only!) and people who cares about the well being of others, specially in Outurela and Portela neighborhoods, Lisbon.

Here are some impressionist fragments of a meeting full of joy, humanity and cumplicity. In Lisbon DC the group brought a study case, and talked about someone very important to these neighborhoods: a police who is close to the community and acts without prejudices.

Lolita, photographer, was in Paris with her peers from SUCCESS. These next fragments show the touching proximity and informality that exists between people who meet in DC. Dialogue Cafe is a platform where all create and co-create projects, but also develop ‘quicksonic’ friendships!

Victoria & Albert Museum: Rio-Lisboa-London 0 Reply

Second session co-hosted by the Victoria & Albert Museum to bring together Design students and other young people’s groups based in Paris, Cleveland, Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon, to present and discuss topics revolving around the major theme “Design, Culture and… Sports”

Both dialogues triggered constructive and creative discussions around topics like the representation of the body: sports and body branding, creating stereotypes and lifestyles; and transport, design and technology, social changes, urban regeneration, museums of the future; … and built up ideas to be presented during the evening of events “Game Changers”.

Aims and objectives of these sessions?
The project connects young members of museums from different backgrounds to promote knowledge and experience sharing and discussion of innovative ideas. These 2 sessions encouraged future V&A/DC collaborative projects towards cultural understanding and change making by/with young people within the cultural sector.
